MEDICAL CARE FOR YOUR CHILD AT HOME OR ON THE GO.

Quick Care Online offers access to board-certified pediatricians, adult physicians, or advanced practice providers for minor medical conditions through video consultation on a compatible mobile device or computer.

Quick Care Online services are currently accessible to:

• Akron Children’s Hospital employees and their dependents covered by one of Akron Children’s Medical Mutual of Ohio health plans
• Children and adults in Ohio with common minor health concerns

Patients under 18 will receive care from Akron Children’s Hospital pediatric physicians and advanced practice providers, available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (EST) seven days a week, 365 days a year. Patients aged 18 and over will be attended by Teladoc physicians around the clock, every day of the year.

Through Quick Care Online, our healthcare providers can diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, and if necessary, prescribe medication for various minor health issues, including:

• Allergies
• Burns (minor/sunburn)
• Coughs, colds, congestion, and mild flu symptoms
• Minor cuts
• Sore throats
• Skin rashes or infections
• Eye redness, itching, or discharge
• Insect bites/stings
• Mild cases of vomiting or diarrhea
• Sinus problems
• Mild fever (patients must be over 3 months old)

If during your consultation the medical provider deems an in-person examination or higher level of care necessary, you will be referred for additional testing or treatment.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

To get started:

1. Download and launch the Akron Children’s Quick Care Online app.
2. Create an account and provide a concise medical history.
3. Request a virtual consultation and submit payment details for the online health consult.

You will then:

1. Be connected with a board-certified healthcare provider who will review your medical history.
2. Engage in a consultation via your mobile device or computer. Teladoc consultations have no time limit.
3. Discuss your medical concern, ask questions, and receive recommendations.

If necessary:

• A prescription can be sent to a local pharmacy based on the provider's assessment.

The Quick Care Online app offers subscribers the ability to:

• Authenticate their Akron Children’s Quick Care Online account.
• Consult with a board-certified healthcare provider remotely.
• Create and manage their medical history online.
• Update personal details and billing information as needed.
• Integrate Apple Health data on iOS devices to aid in diagnosis.
